Panjshir Health Clinics

Following the success of the Panjshir Wind power project, SESA undertook to retrofit 18 health clinics with solar electric systems.  These systems allow the clinics to use basic electric appliances, operate exterior lighting for security and ease of operation, and provide emergency services at all hours.  In some clinics SESA also installed solar hot water units. Coupled with water pumping provided by the newly installed solar power, these clinics now have copious hot water for washing and bathing.

This project has demonstrated how even small amounts of electricity, professionally installed, can make a significant impact.
